Taking The Whole Armor of God (Part 4)

Ephesians  6 : 12-18   (KJV)

12  For we wrestle, not against flesh and blood; but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13  Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15  And your feet shod with the gospel of peace;

16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

     Faith, as a shield is our main frontal protection. it is our confidence, our trust in God to do what He says He will do. The enemy will try to tell you that God is not going to take care of you; that you're on your own. But, as usual with Satan, that's a lie. God is always there for us. We may not realize it or see it, but he is Always there.

    Faith, as described in Hebrews, is the substance of things hope for; the evidence of things not seen. What does that mean? By faith, knowing belief, trust, we can be sure that God will fulfill every promise He has made to us. This knowledge gives us the ability to stave off any attack from the enemy.
