The Power of Forgiveness

Mark 12:24-25   (KJV)

24  Therefore, I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

25  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven, may forgive you your trespasses.

26  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

As we see here, the power of forgiveness can make or break us from receiving the goodness and favor of God in our lives. When we forgive, we have the forgiveness of God in our own lives. We are showing the same grace and mercy He has shown us when He forgave us our sins.

As we forgive, we literally take Satan's power against us away from him. We stop the enemy's ability to hinder our efforts to move forward in the things of God as well as our daily mundane lives. Not only that, it gives us greater power in our spiritual prayer activities.

When we pray for others or our own needs, Satan cannot stand in our way because we hold an attitude of forgiveness toward others in our heart.
